Building a future where mental health support is woven into the identity of being a responder, and trusted help is there the moment it's needed.

We Support 500+ 1st Responder AND their family members - Over 1000 community members supported following a crisis event this year

VISION

From rural Colorado, here to support rural Colorado.

Across Colorado's High Country, we stand beside first responders before, during, and after the toughest calls of their careers.

Through peer support, clinical services, crisis response, training, and agency partnerships, we're building healthier responders and stronger communities.

WHY HIGH COUNTRY RESPONSE

Because we show up.

When first responders and communities face their hardest moments, presence matters. We show up—with compassion, experience, and unwavering support—before, during, and after the crisis.

How we are supported

High Country Response is built on collaboration. We work alongside first responder agencies, mental health professionals, local governments, nonprofits, and community organizations to ensure responders and their communities have access to timely, compassionate support. Together, we're creating a stronger network of care across the High Country.

High Country Response is a nonprofit organization funded through the generosity of individual donors, foundations, grants, corporate partners, fundraising events, and community support. Every contribution helps provide peer support, crisis response, family support programs, and access to culturally competent mental health resources for first responders and the communities they serve.
